The track is one of the best songs in the album and it just gives Rihanna the respect she deserves in terms of being a full pledged, dedicated artist of the present.
Will Rehab prove another success for Rihanna? Is she worth of another #1 UK hit? These are the questions that are buggling the mids of people. I can't wait for this to be heard by the audience. This song is just dope. I wonder why they have to release this later than of any other songs on the GOOD GIRL GONE BAD album? Ferry Corsten presents his new release Radio Crash, one of the forthcoming tracks on his new album titled Twice In A Blue Moon. The promo has been picked up by alot of big jocks like Armin, Above & Beyond and a whole lot more of them. Not much background info needed for one of the pioneers of trance music, so let's just see give it a spin and share my thoughts.
The Original Mix starts off with no mercy with a bangin' kick on a solid 138 bpm. There's no question, Ferry Corsten wants us to dance on this anthemic trance record. The tune builds up very nicely, with hints of the main melody invading the track, while neat little effects add some more spice to the tune. The breakdown unleashes a massive, distorted melody, that sounds incredibly powerfull. When the kicks return total euphoria will take over your crowd. Simply amazing stuff here.
The House Krush Mix is a stripped down, more electrohouse orientated mix to reach a different range of DJ's. The start sounds pretty good with laidback beats, before Ferry switches between these beats and some uber dirty kicks from the original mix. A nice find there, but when the melody kicks in it just doesn't sound «right» for me. That melody is just made for a banging trance record and just doesn't cut it for me in a slower housier approach.
The Original Mix is a monster, while the House Krush Remix will maybey please some of the housier DJ's, but it didn't work for me. But what a great sample the original is of the upcoming album. Get it on monday, when it's out.

Британская команда London Electricity – один из тех коллективов, которые создавали и продолжают создавать историю ломаной танцевальной музыки. По восприятию их творчество похоже на фразу «нечто, что мастерит забавный дядька почти за сорок, с какой-то толстой тёткой и сумасшедшим барабанщиком». Безусловно, язык не поворачивается описать музыку London Electricity простым сочетанием «drum&bass», скорее это drum&bass + jazz&funk + love&sex + dream&space + city&iam и еще порядка 150-ти трансформаций. В сентябре 2008 года вышла 4-я пластинка коллектива Syncopated City.
Пластинка Syncopated City звучит, как возвращение в старый город, или как предвкушение встречи с человеком, которого не видел несколько лет. С одной стороны звук по-прежнему довольно жизнелюбив, он просто-таки испепеляет оптимизмом, с другой стороны есть явная печаль в звуке. Это оптимистическая грусть со словами «Всё будет хорошо». Причем, что любопытно: такой звук Tony Colman (тот самый дядька) даёт прочувствовать с самого начала, как бы ни теряя времени на бессмысленную раскачку альбома, ему незачем «бисер метать», кому-то что-то доказывать, он сам себе хозяин и даёт жару тогда, когда захочет. С первых композиций начинаются лирические сливки, которые потом становятся то чуть более праздничными, то чуть более экспериментальными, этническими, то мрачными и угрожающими, то тоскливыми, но вот соль «грустного оптимизма», эдакой интеллектуальной зрелости остается на протяжении всей пластинки.
Одно из основных ощущений: альбом, как губка тотально пропитан фанком и влиянием музыки из саундтреков фильмов 70-80-х. Такое чувство, что Tony взял из шкафа старые семпл-паки и решил перелопатить их под новое лицо в своем любимом Nuendo. Тут теперь так много инструментов, что, честно говоря, я и не знал, что написать по этому поводу, сидел минут 40 пытался вникнуть в свой экстаз. Оказывается суть восторга в запредельном количестве элементов. Хотя, слово «элементы» уж слишком сухо и приглушенно звучит, композиции просто феерически насыщены звуками! (лирическое отступление: Очень жаль, что мой любимчик Adam F сейчас «не в этой струе», жаль, что любимчик не выпускает «такой» звук, а ведь мог бы (многие помнят «Colours»). И есть где развернуться. Outdoing themselves isn't hard to do for Nickelback, since they mostly get by with the bar just being low enough for them to top in the next album, while still selling millions upon millions of records. So is the case with the first track in their follow‑up to the modern rocker, which sold six‑million. If the rest of the album is anything like this track, then it should sell even more. Not that's it's the best song ever made, but it is Nickelback's best, and it's surprisingly good on top of that.
Chad Kroeger is apparently looking for true love, and is shockingly positive about it. No anger or bad language, no annoying gaffs, and in fact it stands pretty tall lyrically. It reads kind of reads like «Far Away» musically and in general feel, but this is much less sappy.
So overall, a harmless song and Chad Kroeger looking for his soul mate. What could go wrong? Before airplay has all‑but murdered it, nothing. Check back in a few months after radio's chewed on it, and get back with me. I predict big things chart‑wise, and it's certain to rule modern rock as the weeks start coming and going. Nickelback creating something pleasing and pretty darn good? Now that's the surprise of the year.
